Launched in 2024 as part of Thermaltake’s Toughpower GT series, the GT 850W is an ATX 3.1, 80 PLUS Gold, fully modular unit with a native 12V-2x6 (PCIe 5.1) lead. Thermaltake’s manual is dated July 23, 2024, and Japan retail began on November 8, 2024. The PS-TPT-0850FNFAGU-3 model uses a short 140 mm ATX chassis and a Smart Zero fan.

Positioned in the high_end tier, it exists to deliver standards-compliant power for modern GPUs in mainstream ATX builds while minimizing cable clutter. Good for mid-range gaming with upgrade headroom, high-end GPU builds, ATX 3.0/3.1 GPUs, and headroom/overclocking. Not discontinued as of July 2026. Notable: compact 140 mm depth helps in tighter mid-towers.
