MSI’s PRO Z790-A WiFi arrived in late 2022 alongside Intel’s 13th‑Gen “Raptor Lake” on LGA1700, and the current MSI spec lists support for 12th–14th Gen CPUs via BIOS. It is not discontinued.

Positioned as a high_end Z‑series ATX board, it exists to unlock CPU overclocking and the full Z790 feature set without halo‑tier frills. Strong for expansion/multi‑M.2 and high‑speed memory builds: DDR5 support with 7200+ OC profiles, a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for the GPU, four PCIe 4.0 M.2 sockets, Intel 2.5 GbE plus Wi‑Fi 6E, and rich USB including rear 20 Gbps Type‑C, alongside six SATA for bulk storage. Suitable for gaming and creator PCs that need lots of fast NVMe and dependable connectivity.
