Product overview

Released January 9, 2021 as MSI’s custom take on AMD’s RDNA 2–based Radeon RX 6800 line (which debuted in November 2020), the RX 6800 Gaming X Trio 16G pairs 16GB of GDDR6 with a 256‑bit bus. It lands in the high-end tier to deliver strong raster performance at 1440p and entry‑level 4K, with first‑gen DXR ray tracing and FSR upscaling support. Drawing about 250 W via dual 8‑pin leads (MSI recommends a 650 W PSU), this card outputs three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1. The large 324 × 141 × 55 mm triple‑fan cooler means you should check case clearance. Best for high‑refresh 1440p, light 4K, and content creation workloads.
