It works on Intel 600- and 700‑series chipset motherboards. Positioned as an enthusiast-class CPU, it exists to deliver very high clocks (up to 5.8 GHz) and heavy-thread throughput for top-end gaming and creator workloads. It’s well-suited to 1440p/4K gaming, streaming, video editing, 3D rendering, and demanding office/productivity tasks. Notable: unlocked multiplier for overclocking. Intel still lists the processor as “Launched”; however, boxed retail versions were discontinued for last orders on May 24, 2024 while tray remains available.
