Released in April 2021 (Japan retail from April 2), the ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero is a ROG Maximus XIII-series Intel Z590 ATX motherboard for LGA1200, built for 11th‑gen “Rocket Lake” and compatible with 10th‑gen Core CPUs. As a high_end Z590 board, it exists to unlock CPU overclocking on LGA1200 while delivering premium I/O. It’s well-suited to expansion/multi‑M.2 builds (four M.2 slots with PCIe 4.0 on 11th‑gen), high‑speed memory setups (4×DDR4, up to 128 GB, 5333 OC), and feature‑rich connectivity in ATX cases—Wi‑Fi 6E, dual Intel 2.5 GbE, and plentiful USB including Thunderbolt 4. Unique: dual Thunderbolt 4 Type‑C on the rear I/O. Discontinued status not officially stated.
