Product overview

Launched on March 16, 2021 as the 11th‑gen “Rocket Lake‑S” flagship, the Core i9‑11900K is an 8‑core/16‑thread LGA1200 chip with a 3.5 GHz base and up to 5.3 GHz via Thermal Velocity Boost, plus Intel UHD Graphics 750. It targets Intel 500‑series boards (and many 400‑series with BIOS updates) on DDR4‑3200, and general retail availability followed on March 30, 2021. It is now discontinued.

Positioned as a then‑flagship i9, it exists to maximize gaming responsiveness and high clocks on the LGA1200 platform while enabling PCIe 4.0. It’s well‑suited to 1080p/1440p gaming, streaming and video editing on an 8C/16T budget. Unique: unlocked multiplier for overclocking.
