Introduced on November 10, 2021 as part of ASUS’s second‑generation ROG Thor “Platinum II” lineup, the 1000W model rolled out in Q4 2021 (with Japan availability announced December 8, 2021). It’s a fully modular ATX unit rated 80 Plus Platinum and backed by a 10‑year warranty. Positioned for the enthusiast tier, it exists to quietly power dense, high‑draw rigs with cleaner cabling and plenty of headroom. It’s well‑suited to high‑end GPU builds and users who want headroom/overclocking; ASUS also bundles a 16‑pin PCIe Gen 5.0 cable capable of up to 600 W to modern GPUs.
