Product overview

Released on November 16, 2022, the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4080 OC is an Ada Lovelace (RTX 40‑series) card. This Strix variant sits in the enthusiast tier, offering a factory‑overclocked take on the RTX 4080 for builders who want high‑end 4K capability in an oversized cooler. With 16GB GDDR6X and strong ray‑tracing plus DLSS 3, it’s ideal for 4K gaming and heavy content‑creation workflows. It’s a 320 W board that uses a single 16‑pin (12VHPWR) connector; ASUS recommends a 750 W PSU. The cooler is huge at 357.6 × 149.3 × 70.1 mm (3.5‑slot), and outputs include 3× DisplayPort 1.4a and 2× HDMI 2.1a. Notably, the dual‑HDMI layout is uncommon. The non‑SUPER RTX 4080 line was discontinued in 2024 after the 4080 SUPER launch.
