Announced on February 2, 2021 as part of Zalman’s Z‑Machine series, the Z‑Machine 500 is an open‑frame E‑ATX showcase chassis; retail listings indicate availability from May 24, 2021. Positioned as a flagship case, it exists to display high‑end builds while giving ample room for custom water loops. It supports E‑ATX boards up to 280 mm wide, GPUs up to 400 mm, and air coolers to 210 mm; radiator mounts include front 360 mm and top 280 mm. Five 120 mm ARGB fans and a Z‑Sync controller come pre‑installed. The chassis uses tempered glass and anodized aluminum, offers 7 slots (riser supported), and front I/O with USB‑C, dual USB 3.0 and dual USB 2.0—well‑suited to airflow and RGB‑forward builds with long GPUs.
