Product overview
Released on June 30, 2020, the 870 QVO is Samsung’s second‑generation QLC (QVO) SATA SSD in the 870 series, built around V‑NAND QLC and the MKX controller.
Positioned as a budget‑tier SATA option, it exists to deliver high capacity per dollar for systems limited to 2.5-inch SATA. The 2TB MZ‑77Q2T0 is a 2.5-inch SATA 6 Gb/s drive with SATA‑class speeds up to 560/530 MB/s, a 2 GB DRAM cache, and a 720 TBW endurance rating—well suited as a boot drive for older desktops/laptops, a large game library, or general mass storage. Notable: unlike many budget SATA SSDs, it includes true DRAM caching.
