MSI’s MPG X670E Carbon WiFi arrived on September 27, 2022 alongside AMD’s first AM5/X670E motherboards for Ryzen 7000, and it now supports Ryzen 9000/8000/7000 processors. As an ATX board in MSI’s MPG family, it targets high‑end builds that want full‑feature AM5—especially PCIe 5.0 for graphics and storage—without stepping up to halo pricing.
The X670E chipset brings CPU overclocking, four DDR5 DIMMs (dual‑channel, up to 128 GB), three PCIe x16 slots with PCIe 5.0 on the primary, four NVMe M.2 (two Gen5 from the CPU, two Gen4 from the chipset), six SATA, Wi‑Fi 6E, 2.5GbE, and a rear USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type‑C. ATX sizing suits mid‑ and full‑tower cases. Notable: two PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slots.
