Released in 2018, the Asus Prime Z370-A II is an ATX Intel Z370 motherboard for 8th- and 9th‑gen Core processors on LGA1151. On our scale it’s a high_end Z‑series board: it exists to deliver CPU overclocking and a balanced feature set without paying for ROG extras.

It provides four DDR4 slots (up to 64 GB), two M.2 sockets (one PCIe/SATA, one PCIe), six SATA 6 Gb/s, and three mechanical PCIe x16 slots with x16 or x8/x8 lane layouts. Connectivity includes Intel Gigabit LAN, USB 3.1 Gen2 Type‑A and Type‑C, DisplayPort/HDMI/DVI for iGPU output, and no onboard Wi‑Fi. Notable: via its Thunderbolt header and Hyper M.2 X16 support, you can add ASUS ThunderboltEX and run multiple NVMe SSDs on CPU lanes. Discontinuation status is not officially stated.
