ASRock’s Z390 Phantom Gaming 4 launched on October 5, 2018 as part of ASRock’s Intel Z390 lineup for 8th- and 9th-gen Core (Coffee Lake/Refresh) on LGA1151. It’s an ATX board built on Intel’s Z390 chipset.
Positioned as a high_end Z‑series option, it exists to unlock CPU overclocking and fuller expansion versus B/H chipsets. It’s well-suited to builds that want affordable overclocking, dual NVMe capability, and plenty of add‑in room: 4× DDR4 DIMMs (up to 64 GB), two M.2 (PCIe/NVMe and SATA) plus six SATA 6 Gb/s, and PCIe 3.0 slots including two x16 (x16 or x16/x4) and three x1. Gigabit LAN and USB 3.1 round out connectivity; there’s no onboard Wi‑Fi. Availability today is limited as this is a legacy LGA1151 platform.
