The 4TB variant (MZ-77E4T0B/AM) uses Samsung V‑NAND TLC with the MKX controller and a DRAM cache, and is rated up to 560/530 MB/s—right at the SATA limit. It is not discontinued as of July 2026.

Positioned as a budget-tier SATA option versus today’s NVMe drives, it exists to add dependable solid‑state storage to systems that have only 2.5-inch bays or spare SATA ports.
