Launched in 2019 as part of MSI’s “MAX” refresh of AM4 400‑series boards with larger 32 MB BIOS for smoother Ryzen 3000 support, the B450M PRO‑M2 Max pairs the AMD B450 chipset with the AM4 socket. It’s a micro‑ATX design with two DDR4 DIMMs (up to 64 GB), one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot plus two x1, a single M.2 (PCIe 3.0 x4/SATA), and four SATA 6 Gb/s. Rear I/O includes HDMI 2.0b, DVI‑D and VGA; wired GbE only (no Wi‑Fi).
