AM5 platform match
Mainstream AM5 ATX board (Oct 4, 2022) with DDR5, PCIe 5.0 M.2, Wi‑Fi 6E, 2.5GbE, USB‑C, and TB4/USB4 header; ideal for budget AM5 and multi‑M.2 builds.
Launched on October 4, 2022 alongside ASUS’s AMD B650 lineup for the AM5 platform, the Prime B650-PLUS WiFi belongs to the ASUS Prime family and supports Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 CPUs (BIOS update may be required). As a mainstream B650 ATX board, it exists to deliver AM5 essentials at sensible pricing: four DDR5 DIMM slots (up to 128 GB), a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for GPUs, two NVMe M.2 (one PCIe 5.0), Realtek 2.5 GbE plus Wi‑Fi 6E, and both rear and front USB‑C with a header for USB4/Thunderbolt add‑in cards. It’s well suited to budget AM5 builds, expansion/multi‑M.2, and first‑time builders, and includes HDMI/DisplayPort for APU builds. Not discontinued as of today. Unique: onboard header for Thunderbolt 4/USB4 add‑in support on a B650 Prime board.
